Top 5 Travel and Local Apps on Android in Brazil: Q1 2024

In the first quarter of 2024, the Travel and Local category on the Android platform in Brazil showed interesting trends for the top 5 apps. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the performance of Airbnb, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, Decolar: Voos e Hotéis, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel, and ClickBus - Bus Tickets.

Airbnb saw a declining trend in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 186K in the first week of January to around 42K by the end of March. Similarly, weekly active users decreased from over 1M to about 625K during the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced fluctuations in downloads, peaking at 93K in early January and maintaining a consistent range around 57K by the end of March. Active user numbers showed a slight increase from 1.56M to over 1.63M throughout the quarter.

Decolar: Voos e Hotéis had a variable download pattern, starting at approximately 84K in the first week and ending at around 47K in the last week of March. Active users showed a similar pattern, with numbers starting at 676K and ending at about 582K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel observed a significant drop in weekly downloads from 107K in the first week of January to about 31K by the end of the quarter. Active users also decreased from around 2.24M to 1.64M during the same period.

Lastly, ClickBus - Bus Tickets had a noticeable decline in weekly downloads, starting at 89K in early January and stabilizing around 26K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline from approximately 203K to 114K throughout the quarter.
